Dynamic port - Required for Ansys "Vendor daemon" communication, ansyslmd.exe. 2325 - Required for Ansys Licensing Interconnect communication, ansysli_server.exe. 1055 - Required for FlexLM communication, lmgrd.exe. The other scenario is if you have other FlexNet based applications installed on the same server which are using these ports (SolidWorks, Matlap, Creo, NX, etc.). This is necessary is if you can't add rules based on applications to a your network hardware router/VPN or a Linux license server. The most common scenario is having to set a static Vendor Daemon port that is a dynamic port (changes every time the license manager service starts) by default. We recommend leaving these ports set to their default values and allowing these Ansys processes through the firewall by application whenever possible, however, there are occasions that can require you to change these default port settings.
